ANTHAVI USER CONTENT, COPYRIGHT & MEDIA POLICY

Limited Real-Family Pilot | Version 1.2
Nexaverse Group, Inc. | Anthavi
1. Purpose and Scope
This policy explains the rules that apply to photographs, video, audio, written memories, documents, music, and other media contributed to or used through the Anthavi limited real-family pilot. It works with the Pilot Terms of Use, Family Pilot Consent & Authorization, Contributor Acknowledgment, Pilot Privacy Policy, Contribution Guidelines & Acceptable Use, and applicable funeral-home pilot agreement.
2. Ownership of Contributions
Contributors retain ownership of content they own. Uploading or contributing material to Anthavi does not transfer copyright or other ownership to Nexaverse, the participating funeral home, the Designated Family Representative, or another contributor. Contributors must have a reasonable, good-faith basis to believe they have the rights or appropriate permission needed to contribute the material.
3. Permission to Use Eligible Contributions
An adult contributor agrees once when joining the memorial and beginning to contribute that eligible material voluntarily added to the private memorial workspace may be considered for use in the family’s Tribute and, if the family selects it, the Living Story. The pilot does not provide separate memory-by-memory Tribute/Living Story use or audience controls. Uploading alone does not make material public.
4. Family-Level Memorial Decisions
The Designated Family Representative retains the applicable family-level decisions. A Tribute review or approval may occur when the participating funeral home or Nexaverse arranges one; a separate Tribute review is not required for every memorial. The Living Story is created only if the Designated Family Representative affirmatively selects it and chooses its initial visibility. The Living Story may continue to evolve as eligible new contributions are added and does not require repeated final approval after each update.
5. Living Story Visibility
Living Story visibility is selected at the family level: Family Only, Anyone with the Approved Link/QR, or Public by explicit opt-in where permitted. A QR code or link does not by itself make a Living Story public or broaden contributor permissions. Changing visibility does not authorize materially different uses that require separate permission.
6. Copyright and Third-Party Rights
Do not knowingly upload or use material that infringes copyright, privacy, publicity, likeness, voice, contractual, cultural, or other rights. If a participant identifies a credible rights concern, Anthavi may restrict or hide affected shared content while the matter is reviewed. Restriction from shared display is not necessarily the same as permanent deletion of the underlying content or required records.
7. Music and Commercial Media
Commercial music and other third-party media may require licenses or other authorization depending on the intended use. The participating funeral home should not upload, add, synchronize, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, or otherwise use commercial music on behalf of a family unless it has confirmed that the intended use is appropriately licensed or otherwise authorized. A family’s possession of a recording or subscription does not necessarily provide the rights required for every memorial, video, online, or public use.
8. Funeral-Home Role
The participating funeral home may facilitate the memorial workflow and may help prepare a Tribute consistent with the pilot agreements and documented family decisions. The funeral home does not acquire ownership of family or contributor content and should not adjudicate complex copyright, privacy, family-authority, or other rights disputes. Those matters should be escalated to Nexaverse and, when appropriate, counsel.
9. Removal, Restriction, and Disputes
Participants may use the available support/reporting process to raise copyright, privacy, permission, or other media concerns. Nexaverse may restrict or hide affected content from shared display while a legitimate dispute is reviewed. Removal from a Tribute or Living Story, restriction from shared display, deletion from active systems, preservation of required records, and already-delivered copies may be treated differently depending on the circumstances and applicable law.
10. Specialized Uses Are Separate
This policy does not authorize facial recognition, face matching or clustering, biometric processing, synthetic or cloned voice, avatars or digital replicas, conversational memorial agents, general AI/model training, marketing, publicity, or academic research. Any applicable specialized feature or materially different use requires the separate authorization or consent appropriate to that use.
11. Questions and Reporting
Questions or concerns about copyright, media permissions, privacy, removal, restriction, or disputed rights should be submitted through the Anthavi/Nexaverse support process provided for the pilot. Funeral-home workflow questions may be directed to the participating funeral home, but complex rights and policy questions should be escalated to Nexaverse.
